Heinz Grill has been interested in architecture for more than twenty years and is constantly developing the artistic aspects of it. This article takes up a topic from architecture: the light – how it flows and connects rooms and how light is created through the type of design. One of Heinz Grill’s outstanding skills is to express the characteristics of a phenomenon artistically. For example, the interior design of a building was constructed and renovated in such a way that not only external light shines into the rooms, but rather a light atmosphere or a weightless and expanding feeling of space is created. This is how the “Casa della Belezza” was created in Tenno, northern Italy, which has become a museum open to the public.
For further information, see also Heinz Grill’s book: “The idea of the synthesis of spirituality and architecture”, from which the following quote is taken:
“It should not be built in such a way that the human being creates an earthly, ultimately valid home, but rather it should be built in such a way that the entire house, the room, are lifted out again from the spatial or from the heaviness of the material. Although the room is constructed, it should be brought yet again into the openness of space or into a detachment from the spatial, from the material.” p. 65
